Grand Canyon Conservancy (GCC), the official non-profit of the Grand Canyon National Park, has just announced the appointment of a new Board Chair, Vice Chair and five new board members including Medecision President & CEO Deborah M. Gage. These business and community leaders have come together to help protect the park and its native wildlife in order to ensure that one of the world’s most spectacular natural wonders will be preserved for generations to come.
Deb’s passion for conservation and green living shine through her life in a variety of areas, making her a natural fit for this role. She is an avid hiker of the Grand Canyon and a frequent National Park visitor.
Deb is joined by Teresa Gavigan as Board Chair and Mitchell Walker as Vice Chair, as well as new board members Randall Brown, Awenate Cobbina, Stan Sutherland and Merl E. Waschler. GCC’s volunteer board is comprised of 18 business and community leaders from all over the United States who commit both their time and expertise.
“GCC continues to diversify our board to reflect the changing demographics of those visiting Grand Canyon National Park,” said Theresa McMullan, Chief Executive Officer of GCC. “Our new board members’ professional backgrounds and passionate commitment to the Grand Canyon will bring insightful perspectives to our already strong leadership foundation.”
